The Irish cricket team made history in their T20 World Cup match against Oman. In this Group B match, Oman won the toss and invited Ireland to bat first. Chasing the target of 236 runs, Oman’s team was all out for 139 runs in 18 overs and they had to face defeat in the match. Oman had made a quick start in the powerplay and scored 63 runs but lost 2 wickets. However, after the end of 6 overs, Ireland’s bowlers started tightening the screws and gave Ireland the victory in the match. Joshua Little bowled brilliantly for Ireland and took 3 wickets for 16 runs in 4 overs. For Oman, opener Aamir Kaleem played an innings of 50 runs in 29 balls but could not help his team win.
