India defeated Australia by 48 runs in the fourth T20I to take a 2-1 series lead. Batting first, India scored 167 runs in the match played in Gold Coast, Australia. Shubman Gill top-scored with 46. In response, thanks to excellent bowling from Axar Patel, Shivam Dube, and Washington Sundar, Team India bundled out Australia for just 119 runs in 19 overs, winning the match and taking the series lead.

Sundar took three wickets in the match and snatched the match from the Kangaroos’ jaws. Chasing 168, the Kangaroos got off to a good start with Mitchell Marsh (30) and Matthew Short (25). The pair added 37 runs for the first wicket, but it took them five overs to achieve this.
