UAE registered their first win in a Group D match of the ICC T20 World Cup on Friday by defeating Canada by five wickets. ‘Player of the Match’ Siddiqui took five wickets for 35 runs in four overs, restricting Canada to 150 for seven. UAE scored 154 for five with two balls to spare to register a resounding victory. This is UAE’s second win in two matches of this format between the two teams. Aryansh hit six fours and three sixes in his unbeaten 53-ball innings, while Shoaib hit four fours and as many sixes in his 29-ball innings to keep the pressure of the chase at bay. The partnership between the two started when the team was in trouble after losing four wickets for 66 runs in the 13th over.
