Defending champions Australia secured their place in the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 with a 10-wicket win over Bangladesh, becoming the first team to reach the semi-finals of this World Cup. Alyssa Healy scored an unbeaten century.

Australia captain Alyssa Healy scored a century off 84 balls in the previous match against India. In this match, she reached a century off 73 balls. This is the second fastest century in Women’s World Cup history. She remained unbeaten on 113 runs off 77 balls, hitting 20 fours. Phoebe Litchfield contributed 84 runs off 72 balls. The two batsmen shared a partnership of 202 runs. This is the eighth time Australia has won a Women’s World Cup match by 10 wickets.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat, but their innings never gained momentum against Australia’s disciplined bowling. The team scored 198 for nine in their 50 overs. Only openers Rubaya Haider (44) and Shobhana Mostari (66 not out) managed to stay in action. Rubaya gave the team a solid start in her 59-ball innings, hitting eight fours, but was caught at mid-on. Captain Nigar Sultana (12), Sharmeen Akhtar (19), and the lower-order batsmen failed to add runs. Mostari held one end, scoring a fighting unbeaten 66 off 80 balls, studded with nine fours. Her innings remains the highest individual score by a Bangladeshi batsman against Australia. Australia completed the second-highest chase in World Cup history without losing a wicket. The 202-run partnership between Healy and Litchfield is also the second-highest against Bangladesh. This is Australia’s third-highest partnership in a World Cup. Alyssa Healy is only the second batter to score two consecutive centuries in a World Cup.
