The Indian women’s team, batting first, scored 251 runs for all out in 50 overs. In response, South Africa, despite faltering in the middle overs, won a thrilling match thanks to strong innings from Laura and de Klerk.

Chasing the target of 252 runs, South Africa had a bad start. Opener Tajmin Brits could not open the account. Whereas Luus scored 5 runs in 9 balls. Kapp scored 20 runs in 25 balls and Bosch could score only 1 run. Jafta scored 14 runs in 20 balls. Laura Wolpert scored 70 runs in 111 balls with the help of 8 fours. Kranti showed her the way to the pavilion. After Laura’s dismissal, Tryon and De Klerk handled the innings. Tryon scored 49 runs in 66 balls. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur was out after scoring 9 runs in 24 balls. Deepti Sharma scored 4 runs in 14 balls. Amanjot could score only 13 runs in 44 balls. Sneh Rana played a strong innings of 33 runs in 24 balls. Rana added 88 runs for the 8th wicket with Ghosh. Richa Ghosh scored 94 runs in 77 balls with the help of 11 fours and four sixes. Sri could not open the account. From South Africa’s side, Chloe Tryon took three wickets while Nonkululeko Mlaba, Nadine de Klerk and Marizanne Kapp took two wickets each.
